An Act of Wanton Violence

The witness dialed 911 but did not complete the call when he realized that the police could trace the call to him so he did what the apathetic do, he withdrew.

Michael told the 911 operator, “I lost my wife.” The operator replied, “A missing person report cannot be filed for at least twenty-four hours.”

The detectives knew it was murder; it could not have been an animal attack.

“You were the best friend, lover and wife a man could ever hope for. I will cherish you as the best part of my life. I swear I will murder the person who murdered you.”

“This is a win-win situation for you. Your crown will be decency, honesty, integrity and honor.”

“Many things tell me I shouldn’t do this.” She took the sample and hurried out of the prison.

“What I suspected, negative.”

“This is outrageous, she had no authority to contact my client.”

The envelope contained his address and phone number for landscaping service.

“How do you find?”

“Not guilty.”

“What did you just say?”
