This cocktail guide is a culmination of over 50 original martini recipes that were created by a small town bartender, who is applying the proceeds of the sales of this book to the Susan Komen benefit for the Cure to fund breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs, as well as the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund, to provide an endowment for breast cancer initiatives.

This book was written for the purpose of paying tribute to Gene Roddenberry who shared with the world his inspirational dream called Star Trek. Welcome to the wonderful playground created by a visionary before his time.

Groundfish, The New England Fishery Management Council, and the World Fisheries Crisis

This book reviews the fisheries of New England – “the poster child of mismanagement” – since 1977. It finds that many of the explanations offered for the New England problems are incorrect or irrelevant or counterproductive. It suggests that the problems lie in two general categories: first, the legislative and administrative context of management; and second and more serious, fundamental issues concerning fishing technologies, and lack of effective effort control strategies and an operational hypothesis of the dynamics of marine ecosystems. These latter issues are not confined to New England, but are inherent in most marine fisheries wherever they may be found. The book suggests a new concept for benign and selective fishing technologies, and it recommends a thorough review and analysis of the efficacy of effort control concepts. It proposes a management strategy based upon the hierarchical concept of ecosystems that could eliminate many of the current problems of management.

Filled with numerous Biblical references and examples of blessings and prayers, “Ministry: A Handbook for Teachers and Preachers” takes an in-depth look at preaching and is a well-written manual for those in the ministry or those who aspire to become a leader.

Mr. Tompkins writes about how to structure and present an effective sermon. In addition to knowing the Bible, the deliverer must also be able to extract the essential message and prepare a sermon that the listener can relate to. He equates delivering the sermon to that of giving a sales pitch - once the critical point is made, close the deal. If a minister tries to present all of his knowledge during a sermon, some of those followers may tune out. However, he warns to not try and make the Bible fit the message, but rather let the message come from the Bible.
