I hope this book shows the joy that comes from knowing Jesus as our Lord and Savior. That it will bring peace to those that read it and encourage all to seek a relationship with Jesus.

Inspirational poetry to help boost one’s confidence or to enhance one’s self-esteem. These words of poetry were given to me as I yielded myself to the obedience of God.

This is the second book of Christian poetry I’ve written. Like the first, it is meant to praise God, be encouraging, and show that God is always present. I pray that these books touch someone’s heart and bring them closer to Jesus.

The purpose of this collection of poetry is solely to lift up the name of Jesus and to inspire those who choose to read it. It is Christian in scope and is designed to motivate folk to come to God, to come to Jesus, and to confess Him as Lord and Savior of their lives. And once you finish the book? Pass it on to a loved one, a neighbor, a coworker.

Hopefully one or more of the pieces featured will inspire someone to do something positive, to believe in God and Jesus, and to better their lives and those around them.

All the poems were original works and hopefully they will help somebody. God bless you all and thanks for getting my book.

I grew up in Canton, a small town in Western North Carolina. My favorite subjects were always English and Literature, however, my occupation is as a bookkeeper. I never thought I would love to write, but when I lost my sister, my brother, and my dad, all within a couple of years of each other I began to write poems. I received so much comfort from them and they eased the pain of my losses. Because I was so preoccupied in my everyday life, I stopped writing for about five years. Then I rededicated my life to Jesus and the poems started coming to me again. They bring me such joy and peace when I write or read them. I didn’t realize the very act of praising God in itself, could be such a blessing. I have always been shy and not very good at talking to others so I truly believe that God gives them to me so I can witness about all His Glory, the gifts that He gives, and the salvation only He can offer. I hope that these poems bring as much joy to others as they do to me.

Metaxe is Plato’s term for transcendence and that the state of being in between, en route. This collection of poetry describes the Holy Land pilgrimage of one soul. A ten day trip to Jaffa, Caesarea, Megiddo, Mt. Tabor, Temple of Pan, Christening in the River Jordan, floating on the Dead Sea, visiting Capernaum, Jericho, Golan Heights, Beth-She’an, Qumran, Masada, to Jerusalem, Bethlehem, East Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Western Wall and Solomon’s Temple. It is written in somewhat poetic form for the general reader, particularly for those who feel that, for themselves, Christianity has dried up and they are receiving little or no sustenance from what was once a rich well of water.

A compilation of cutting edge spiritual poetry. This book is not for the faint of heart, it contains poetry that deals with real life situations and circumstances and some of the poems may invoke feelings of shame, degradation, and humiliation; and then transport you to a place of joy, happiness, and freedom. It will be a journey that will inspire, encourage, and empower.

The Glory of Peace in Thee is very important to me because I have been through a lot in my life that I thought I would share how God stepped in and showed me that I am not alone if I put my trust in him. So I thought I would share what God will do if you trust him to. I have realized that God is everything I need in my life and hope by reading these poems you will come to the same conclusion and that is to put God first and he will do the rest.
