The story of losing a son at the early age of thirty-one. The struggles and hardships his mother (the author) went through until finding the Lord as her comforter. She began using her God-given talent by writing stories and poems for relatives, friends and friends of friends that were grieving because of the loss of a child or loved one.

In a world of uncertainty, the hardest thing for you and me to do is believe that we can change the past.

We must endeavor to preserve the vast array of assets we have accumulated in life and to cherish the knowledge gained.

It is of exceptional importance to me to never forget who I am or where I came from. I have focused on helping others enhance their lives as I did my life.

You will come to observe that within your heart your personal relationships and with God will prosper by making the right decisions.

You can make dreams come true for nothing is truly lost, only treasures in life are originated.

God Delivered Me from Evil - My Story, reveals some of the ways in which Satan lures his prey into his net and gives an unforgettable account of a young man who struggled with the forces of evil through many years of his life. This book is a personal account of how Satan captivated the writer’s mind and took control of his being. If not for the grace and love of God, this young man would have been totally possessed and destroyed by the powers of Satan.

God Delivered Me from Evil - My Story, also speaks of the realism of Satan and his evil powers and evil angels. Through trials and personal experiences, the author has come to understand that if evil exists, God’s power also exists. Beyond our dimension, the two forces are battling for everyone’s soul and the battle is intensifying as we near the end of time and life as we know it.

The title They That Wait comes from one of my favorite Bible verses, Isaiah 40:31. I experienced its meaning starting in 1979 when I became legally blind from histoplasmosis. The disease ended my job and all my needlework hobbies. I prayed and prayed for something meaningful to do with the time in my new life. Finally, in December of 1986, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I began writing poetry for the Lord. I was 62 at that time. I’ve since added memories and secular topics, but I like the inspirational ones best. It has been a learning process and I’m still learning. My heartfelt gratitude goes to my daughter, brother, and niece for their assistance throughout the years.

This book of poetry was written in hopes that whoever reads it, will not only receive a blessing, but that it would inspire hope, encouragement and inspiration in their lives. Most of all I hope and pray that in some small way this book will, by ministering to people, bring some honor and glory to my Heavenly Father and to His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Each of the poems contained in this book, as I wrote it I felt that the Lord Himself was ministering to me and yet also giving me the words to put down on paper (for me to reread and for others to read) to remind me in years to come of the many blessings He has given me and how regardless of the circumstances I might have been going through, He was always there for me and He always will be. And He will be for you too.

It’s always interesting to hear another person’s thoughts or philosophy about life. Some people are so boring they put you to sleep. Others can be so amusing.
