It is a narrative story of Joseph and his epic journey into Egypt as a slave according to scripture. All of the Life Applications are packed with comparative stories and testimonials to help and encourage anyone struggling in this life full of trials, challenges, and disappointments. This biblical story is written as a contrast comparison to the popular rags to riches story or even as the subtitle states, “From the Pit to the Pinnacle.” It is an inspirational guideline on how to navigate personal storms, financial failure, set-backs, and even self-destruction. Even though Joseph was dragged out of a pit by slave traders, sold into slavery, and then sent to prison for a crime he did not commit, he refused to be angry with God and ultimately managed to go from the Pit of Dothan to the Pinnacle of Egypt.
