Was the death of Mary Heller really an accident? Sally Karington doesn’t think so, but can she ever prove it?

When Janis Heller approached Sally to investigate her mother’s death, Sally did not expect that Janis would end up becoming one of the prime suspects. Does she really want the truth, or is there some other reason she is so interested in having Sally in Fryville.

Her brother Richard Heller also appears to be more than just a carefree playboy. Is he truly being as helpful as he makes out to be, and just why doesn’t he want his mother’s murderer brought to justice?

Complications with the case begin almost from the start with the murder of a witness right in front of her. Soon Sally is facing the fact that everyone but the police seem sure that Mary Heller was actually murdered, yet no one wants to do anything about it. Could the whole town of Fryville be involved in the death of Mary Heller?

With the body count rising, and the insidious Bona Jarrit always on her trail, Sally finds herself fighting for not only her life, but her sanity as well.
