For the most part this book was written as a warning that at this very moment the glorious gospel is under attack as never before. Satan is using false religions and false teachers to deceive, and thousands are falling prey to his wicked devices. It is now accepted that to criticize another religion is bigoted and un-American. Jesus and his apostles warned many times of false prophets and false teachers. The great apostle Paul warns of the existence of grievous wolves among the flock.
If my family were attacked and misrepresented my love for them would surely compel me to defend them with every resource that I have. How much more then should the love for my savior motivate me to defend him and the gospel.
Since Jesus and the apostles spoke out against false prophets and false teachers, I believe as a Christian and as a follower of Christ, it is my solemn duty to do the same. To fail to do so I would be doing a great injustice to those whom the false prophets, false religions, and false teachers are deceiving.
