This book is the “stone” that my grandchildren and great grandchildren may know that the Lord is trustworthy and has helped us thus far.

He has taken me from the childhood cry “Who’s going to rock me?” to the knowledge that “In His presence is fullness of joy.” Through open doors,
By streams of living waters,
In resting places with Him day by day,
‘Mid earthly battlefields
And this world’s sorrows,
He taught me, fed me, led me all the way.

My book, Prose and Poetry from the Heart: A Walk of Faith, will console your soul and stir your imagination. The book consisting of two separate sections, Humanity and Nature, will spiritually impact the reader.

Recently, my manuscript was reviewed by Christian Services Network of El Cahon, California. In that review Dr. Michael Wourms, Founder and President said, “the book would entice many readers because it is full of wonderful truth and spiritual wisdom, as well as artistic splendor!”

Still lamenting further, Dr. Wourms said “he would pray that God would facilitate the printing and distributing of this valuable addition to Christian literature.” A final comment: “This truly is a treasure-chest of spiritual insights.”

By reading my book, readers may come to a greater appreciation and acceptance of God’s purpose for their own lives here on earth.

The question of why Cain killed his brother Abel is one of the most enduring mysteries of the Bible. In Cain and Abel, the day’s events surrounding the murder are brought to life in rich, textured yet crystal-clear blank verse. Powerful, intelligent characters drive this unforgettable story.

The Spirit of a Poet was written in the short time that I was incarcerated. Being locked away from society gave me time to reflect and to look inside myself. You will find that there are a few poems in this book that talk about prison.

The one that I enjoyed writing the most was To Jail With Me. As I mentioned before in my previous book, when my back is against the wall, I can write some pretty good stuff. However, this time I had to borrow some of my work from Blind Poet to complete this book.

We fight a daily battle,
the longest struggle ever known.
Kicked and scarred and beaten,
we do not fight this one alone.

Pain. Suffering. Addictions. Mourning. Hope. Eternal life. God’s love. Jesus on the cross. Salvation. Redemption.

Through it all, God is in control. He knows our pain, understands our weaknesses, and yet He loves us enough to send His Son to die on the cross for our iniquities.

These poems explore the depths of how far man can go on the path to self-destruction, and how God will go even farther to bring us back from the brink, to comfort us, heal us, and know how great He really is.

We are not alone. We suffer together - cry, laugh, and encourage one another - always keeping an eye on heaven and the price Christ paid for our souls, and of His never-ending love, grace, and forgiveness.
