The Dancer and the Dreamer

After eight years of marriage, the lives of Marty and Carolyn were torn to shreds by carelessness and Marty’s selfish choices. He was to blame for a hit-and-run accident that took place on a lonely country road and claimed the life of a pedestrian. His blood alcohol level would surely exceed the legal limit and he refused to make a police report because of his fear of a jail sentence. He had to abscond! He left his family and found solace on a horse breeding farm in Kentucky where his daydreams escalated to a point of no return.

Carolyn was left with shattered dreams, two children and an addiction to pain killers that she ingested to ease the discomfort in her broken foot. She couldn’t deal with the absence of her husband. The children were not enough to ease the loneliness that she felt. She fell prey to a handsome salesman that filled the void in her heart. She followed his lead into a drug world where excessive use put her in a coma for several months and robbed her of her memory after age fourteen, just six years older than her first born child!
