Summer Rain is a best selling author who is enjoying the success of her latest book. This celebration is cut short when she begins to receive anonymous correspondence from someone going by the name of “Ghostwriter.”

“Ghostwriter” claims that he/she will reveal the real reason why Summer’s mother suddenly left home, and raised Summer alone.

At first Summer chalks it up to the overactive imagination of a deranged fan, but after inquiring and receiving a nervous response from her mother, Summer is certain that she is onto something. Ignoring her mother’s wish that she cease further communication with “Ghostwriter,” Summer decides it is a story worth pursuing.

Who is “Ghostwriter” and how does he/she know anything about Summer’s mother? Is this a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse that will leave Summer broken and bitter? Or is there someone out there who really knows something that has the potential to rock Summer to the core of her emotional foundation?
