VOLUME I STAY THE COURSE
Why one of the letters in this book (Letter Twenty) may very well crack wide open the Dacer-Corbito double murder case. It could help identify the mysterious “BIGOTE” who allegedly gave the final order to assassinate Salvador Dacer and his driver while they were en route from Malacanang Palace to Manila Hotel to confer with former Pres. Fidel Ramos. In solving any murder mystery, one has to determine at least two essential factors: MOTIVE and OPPORTUNITY.

In the reinvestigation of the case, the following individuals should be asked what they know about some aspects in the playbook of the heinous crime: Former Presidents Fidel Ramos, Joseph “Erap” Estrada, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Sen. Panfilo Lacson, former SEC Chairman Perfecto Yasay, Jr. and businessman Dante Tan.

This is one of my wishes for myself. To publish a book of poetry that I created. Every poem in this book is a view of someone. Someone I met, someone I helped or someone that I look at in the mirror each day. I have had a strange life, to me anyway. Then again maybe not, after reading some of these poems back to myself. I didn’t publish this to become famous nor make money. I published it for myself. We live in a world that has disappointed me most of my life. So many say they care, but if you look at their actions they really don’t. Our elected for the most love to band aid abuse. They never seem to solve the problem of abuse, they just band aid the abused. Over the last two years I have written over 300 poems about abuse. Over the last two years I have written over 1,200 letters to elected officials all across this county asking for them to do something about abuse. And over the last two years I have cried, because for the most part, they don’t care.

My opinion is someone that has been abused doesn’t fall into a certain group of people that they can receive a vote from. The abused fall into all political parties, all races, both male and female, the wealthy, the middle class and the poor. This is a problem for a politician. They cannot divide and conquer this group to gather votes. I was born in 1966. Neither party nor single politician has broken any ground yet to save or stand up for the abused. They walk into the room after the fact with a box of band aids and a camera man to make themselves look good.

These are my views though, if there are any politicians out there that really care do something about the problem before it happens. Stop walking with band aids and start doing what’s right. Our judges for the most fall into this same category, but that’s another book in itself. God Bless!

There are so many books on South East Asia and so many on Race Relations, yet people World around are still in the dark about our part of the world despite so much information available everywhere. This book is a running commentary on our way of life both here and back home and it may very well have succeeded in bringing out our basics besides throwing light on host of other issues hitherto not well known.

Everyone is familiar with ‘Nimby,’ “Not in my backyard”, ‘Nimfy’, “Not in my front yard” sets an altogether different tone. It is a caution for one and all to pay heed to global warning; live and let others live. Life is too short to hold grudges; forgiveness is the only way out of the dilemmas we all find ourselves in. There are lots of references to it in the book, find them and adopt them.

Pictures in the book have been taken on actual locations and tie well with the theme of the book; enjoy them as you read past them.

This is a great motivational book that can inspire the reader to find new avenues to improve and develop a better choice and direction and hope for a better future. Lots of information that can only be gathered in one’s lifetime. The book touches on many subjects and will not bore you to fall asleep while reading. If that’s the kind of book you’re looking for, don’t buy this one! Although I hope that everyone will be curious enough to buy this book to really see what a first time author as I am can accomplish through many hours of thought to arrange writing to keep the interest of the reader. I think there are many would be could be authors out there that have an interesting story to tell and I hope maybe they can follow my lead and start to put those experiences down on paper for the whole world to see. Books are what we leave behind to keep alive our existence. It tells the world our life was meaningful and we did not live in vain!

I have had a lifelong love affair with this country and all that it has to offer its citizens. And even though we now find ourselves in some very troubling times, there is no question in my mind that Americans will once again rise to the challenge and restore the full promise of the American Spirit. I have recorded in this book my thoughts and feelings about some of the people, places, and events that are now shaping our future. I hope that by doing so it will cause people to think about what must be done by each and every one of us to ensure that our children and grandchildren have the opportunities that we have had to follow our dreams. And I hope this book will cause people to stop and think about all of the little things that come with freedom that we sometimes take for granted.

This book not only encompasses events in Europe with the American GI, it takes you to my talks with Richard Nixon, Robert Kennedy, Frank Sinatra and top music people; and with the former Chancellor of Germany, the King of Hungary, and German generals who helped us win World War II. I include my meeting Otto Scorzeny, the dashing Errol Flynn-like hero who rescued Mussolini from captivity, who later received retribution from his own people. Many dangers for our country lurk in the shadows waiting to happen. This book takes you there to caution and alert you.

This book is about truth and regard for important issues that face our nation. These concerns should not be taken lightly. My wish is to get the public involved in finding a way to make a difference by making informed choices. This book is about my life and how people placed ambition and pride over all other values, it is about the hatred that cost this country many lives. There are people who stand out in my mind because they went beyond ordinary weaknesses to stand up for what they felt was right. They showed courage in the face of fear and carried on bravely for their fellow man in the name of justice and freedom.

I ask that each reader seriously consider the evidence I present and form his or her own opinion on some controversial issues. As I present my thoughts and experiences, you will come to know that I place a high value on empathy and compassion for people. My hope is that this book will help remind you of the injustices all around us. My mission is to keep the heroes of the last century fresh in our minds so that their humanitarian efforts will be passed down to our next generation.

The theme of this book is that this country is being ruined by people’s selfish actions. They don’t do what situations call for but rather focus on pursuing their selfishness goals of self-esteem, self-enrichment, self-advancement and bringing about their own pleasure. The broad interests of society are lost in the process.

This book was written with the belief, “We all can make a difference to better the lives of others.”

My highest hope is that President Obama will make a difference by what he does in office. I decided to write this book in order to give him my thoughts and ideas gained from my past experiences in a life of 85 years. I learned a great deal about military strategy talking with German Generals for three years. I am pictured in this book having conversations with the Chancellor of Germany and the King of Hungary. I majored in history and am an ardent political analyst. Richard Nixon sat down with me at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, one day and opened my eyes to what politicians must do to win nominations. John Volpe took my advice on his run for Governor of Massachusetts and won in this strongly Democratic state. He was a Republican.

In the Rock and Roll era of the 60’s I was a song writer, record producer, music publisher and artist manager. I discovered Freddy Cannon and his 2 million record seller “Tallahassee Lassie.”

My book deals with public issues and war and peace for President Obama to read and think about in his decision making. In my previous book, President Bush, Sr. read my chapter on why Robert Kennedy’s name should be placed on the Department of Justice Building. After reading what I had to say he not only placed his name there, but wrote me a letter telling me my book would be placed in his presidential library at Texas A&M.

Americans should thank God for blessing us with the victory of a great person with empathy for others, already proven by his stand for stem cell research for the sick that need help. This man will succeed in everything he does. His tremendous victory against all odds has made me a believer.
