“1984”, by George Orwell, magnificently described an authoritarian government in its future, possibly a warning to future generations of a government that controls every aspect of your being, down to your very thoughts. With today’s technology and certainly future advancements, “2084” explores a scenario where humanity allows the government of the day to seize control of your existence under the guise of safety over autonomy.

“2084” shows that an extinction event is just the crisis needed for the government to rule supreme over the masses that survived.

Author Guy Phillips’s portrayal of possible future events and the outcome of such events is the modern version of totalitarianism and describes what Orwell understood but without the knowledge of technology to intertwine his story. Whether it’s the technology of the 1980s or the 2080s, the lesson is still the same. Would you choose safety over freedom?

A young boy prince inherits, not a blessed Kingdom, but a broken lineage of his bloodline. Galbothia, a land forged by the creator of the universe, becomes an arena of fatality. Meant for peace and harmony, Galbothia provided the enduring blessings of life to all its creatures. Yet, like so often occurs, a force of destructive power shows itself to interfere with such blessed existence. Good versus evil clash, and a young boy who becomes King answers the call to deliver his people from tyranny and oppression. During his journey he learns of his ancestors and country’s deep secrets which forever changes the outcome of his mission. The burden to restore his world weighs heavy on the young prince, forcing him to grow up fast. Disappointment and victory intertwine in this novelistic journey. When reading this novel, you will be able to understand how a higher force can influence people to a higher standard of commitment. The residents of this world demonstrate their willingness to live and die for each other, and for freedom. The reader can comprehend the devotion of its characters towards life as they submit to the ultimate sacrifice. Tragedy meets love, and commitment becomes the central focus of existence. For the characters in this story, there is a certain reality in that life is precious, and it can be taken away at any moment. The enemy, whose goal is to permanently end Galbothia’s way of life, does not hide its boldness to overtake the world. This leads to a show of deadly force exhibited by the invaders.

This is not a book to prove or disprove the existence of the Leviathan. I use the Leviathan to create an adventure story. I do not hesitate to write that I really do believe in a huge monster called Leviathan. I believe that there is only one such creature. I have never read or heard a complete description of this creature. Everyone, including Creation Scientists, in my opinion, fail to grasp the uniqueness of this singular creature. Historical Geologists, in general, have attempted to make us believe that the Leviathan is some contemporary animal such as a crocodile. Some more honest individuals dare to suggest that the creature is some leftover prehistoric creature believed to be extinct such as a plesiosaur or an ichthyosaur.

James 3:7 (KJV) says this, “For every kind of beast, and of birds, and of serpents, and all things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:” Now, I do not have room here to go into this history. You will have to do the research. My point here is that there is nothing in the oceans so big and bad that mankind can’t subdue or tame if he so desires. There is one exception to this reality.

Job was aware of the Leviathan. God did not ask Job if he had read a book about an ancient creature by the name of Leviathan or had gone by a museum. No, the animal was one which Job had some personal knowledge of just like he had some, but not all, personal knowledge of the other animals or scientific questions God asked Job. For those of you who are interested, read Job: 38-41. Behemoth is a monster also contemporary with Leviathan and Job. I did say Job! Job 40:15; “Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee…”

I am not going to explain why God asked Job about his knowledge of these creatures, especially Leviathan. Please read Job: Chapter 41; because it will do you good to take time to consider that this monster is something most people cannot even imagine. Job 41:10; “None is so fierce that dare stir him up: who then is able to stand before me?” Job 41:33; “Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.”

This book completes the trilogy of the saga of the Genshees. In the first book Time Snatchers the Genshees migrated from a distant planet to our Earth. Once on Earth, they entrenched themselves five miles below the Earth’s surface where they remained hidden for centuries.
