Pindar Stephenson is a highly respected professor at a prestigious university in New England, but an ill-fated decision by him leads to a tragic event and the end of his promising academic career. What follows is a fateful journey to a tragic predestined end, filled with treachery and death. The action rises, climaxes and falls in the tradition of classic Greek tragedy, and throughout the story, Pindar repeatedly arrives at crossroads where decisions will have profound consequences, but where choices are still possible until he arrives at the final crossroads where his fate is revealed and sealed in shocking fashion.
