Echoes of the Past

To be given a second chance to fall back in love with the one that got away. He was and still is every bit of the word gentleman. Jordin couldn’t put the blame on her boyfriend Quentin; it was entirely her fault for their breakup while they were in college.

No longer under her parent’s rules, Jordin was free to do as she pleased. Her life began to spiral out of control once she started hanging out with her roommate Robyn. Although she was aware there was no pressure on her to do anything; Robyn knew how to manipulate her. Being around her brought out entirely another side of Jordin that she wanted to keep a secret. A double life she lived. Straight laced around her boyfriend Quentin and his friends, but when it comes to Robyn and her friends, she got totally turned up. It didn’t end just in college.

There it lay on the kitchen table in the same place where Jordin left it a week ago. She noticed it many times, never thinking to throw it away. One of these days she planned on putting it to use; it was given to her by a friendly face. Someone who she didn’t even know, saying take this, it will solve all your problems.

Even though they tried their best not to navigate into each other’s lanes uninvited when it came to their personal affairs; once Jordin’s friends Kiani, Chris, and Jasmine found out her secret they had her back from day one. This day and age, it’s hard to find good friends. They are few and far between.

Ashley, a colleague at Foster and Emerson, is a thorn in her side. She had been nipping at her heels before and after she got promoted. To top things off, she was always in someone’s business.
