Greenland is perhaps the only land that was once a colony of a European power that by choice became an integral and semi-autonomous province within the colonizing power, the Kingdom of Denmark. It is now evolving toward independence. This book is a collection of 19th century eye-witness narratives of Greenland, – the land (“Could any place be handsomer than Greenland?”) and its people – that record the slowly evolving status of that colony toward independence in the 21st century. It is a unique record within the world’s political history. The narratives draw us “as if by some unseen hand into a land of enchantment.”

Spencer Apollonio visited Greenland three times in the early 1950s when the political evolution of Greenland within Denmark was formalized by a visit by the Royal family. He lives in Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

Woodrow Wilcox has been the senior medical bill case worker at an insurance agency in northwest Indiana for over nine years. In less than eight years, he helped the clients of that agency save over one million dollars by correcting and canceling false and erroneous medical bill charges that were caused by various mistakes made in the Medicare system.

Woodrow Wilcox believes that mistakes in the Medicare system cause senior citizens across America to pay over one billion dollars per year in false and erroneous medical bill charges that they would not have to pay if the Medicare system worked properly. Wilcox wrote this book to encourage and teach other people to help other senior citizens to get bills corrected and save money.

Since April 2003, Wilcox has written over 300 articles about Medicare problems. His articles have been published by various newspapers, magazines, and websites.

A True Weapon to Conquer the Future

“Importance of Positive Leadership in Today’s Health Care Management” is a tool, a roadmap, a true weapon to conquer the future as the health care industry is becoming a dynamic and more challenging business. Through this book, positive leadership is proved to be vital in this time of change in spite of the challenges surrounding the leaders’ work today, and fundamental in the administration of health care organizations.

The first chapter is the introduction. The second chapter presents a review of the literature. The third chapter describes the methodology used. The fourth chapter constitutes a specific analysis of all the data withdrawn from the books about great leadership’s importance. Finally, the fifth chapter includes a summary, proposed recommendations for resolution, and conclusions that can be drawn.

However, this book is strongly recommended to anyone who wants to be an efficient leader in any field, because it can help develop qualities of good leadership essential for career success.

Book Review

I recently had the privilege and pleasure of reading a profoundly informative book: “Importance of Positive Leadership in Today’s Health Care Management”, written by Josie D. Menelas, M.D., M.H.A. As I read it, one of the first things I noticed was the highly appropriate subtitle: “A True Weapon to Conquer the Future”. This book is packed with excellent information regarding leadership and management, along with their responsibilities in the health care industry. More importantly, from cover to cover, its pages contain an amazing wealth of knowledge that the readers can apply not only to their particular professional endeavors, but also to their roles in life. Whether the reader finds himself or herself serving as a political official, the director of an important health care organization, a highly respected dean of a major university, the pastor of a local church, or even a housewife, he or she will acquire important tools for successfully securing the future.

This is not a book that you read and leave on the bookshelf. This book needs to be kept in a place where it is readily available at all times, for it is an invaluable asset to those in all walks of life. Of all the books I have read on Leadership, this one stands alone in its ability to help the reader become the best leader that he or she can be in his or her individual management position, each with its own unique responsibilities.

There are many websites, articles, television shows and books that describe how to handle difficult financial situations. All provide an instant cure for your financial woes. Our objective is to show how to prevent these difficult situations (or at least be ready for them) by careful planning on a decade by decade basis.

This approach was pioneered by my late uncle, an attorney and financial analyst, and used by several of his millionaire clients and a poor one, namely the author.

How to approach annuities, taxes and pension plan borrowing are also discussed as they may apply to your needs.

A mini-glossary of the relevant terms is also included to clarify any new words you may not be familiar with.

Remember to always check multiple credible sources before you commit to a plan of action. Also, be sure to review your plans on a regular basis. Good luck.
