The search for the Babylon of the Book of The Revelation of Jesus Christ continues. It becomes obvious that Babylon stands for more than just the City of Babylon that is located in the country of Iraq about fifty miles from the mouth of the Euphrates River. Babylon is a symbol of the capital city of the Kingdoms of this world system that challenges the City of Jerusalem which is representative of the capital of the Kingdom of Heaven. We recall that the Hebrew word Babylon means the gate of god. The word Babel in Genesis 11:9 means confusion. This suggests that it was created as a center for worshipping the god of this world system. At Jerusalem, the Messiah will be worshipped and he will set up his throne in this city which is geographically at the center of the earth. The image Nebuchadnezzar saw, as recorded for us in Daniel 2:31-32, represents the Kingdoms of this world. The stone cut without hands will smash this image, Daniel 2:34-35. “Thou sawest till that a stone was cut out without hands, which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces. Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.”
You do recall the novel, “Gone with the Wind?” We are talking about the wind of political change or events. Now the stone that was rejected by the builders will be the King of the stone cut out without hand, who is Jesus Christ, Psalms 118:22 and Acts 4:11. Notice that this stone (the Kingdom), develops into a great mountain that will fill the entire earth. King Jesus will destroy the Kingdoms of this World System with great violence and set up the Kingdom of Heaven. This Kingdom is also written about in Revelation 11:15: “And the seventh angel sounded; and there were voices in heaven, saying, The Kingdoms of this world are become the Kingdoms of our God, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.”
The legacy of Babylon is the story of the fall of mankind. It is a mighty struggle; it is a battle fought not only with physical weapons, but fought on the battlefield of every man’s heart and mind. This mighty battle was birthed by the hiss of a serpent, a Devil’s lie, and its soldiers and weapons of deception are wielded and enhanced by false messiahs, prophets, miracles, and wonders to behold, to deceive the sons of men. Opposing this army of fallen men, angels and demons in full battle array is the Commander in Chief of the armies of truth and light, the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. May I ask you, whose army are you a soldier in?

If we could walk through all the cities, towns and communities of our country we could not count all the buildings, temples and cathedrals that we call “Church.” So many different churches, denominations and versions of the Bible, and yet, the world is in more turmoil than ever before, and sadly most Christians identify each other by the Church they attend. America has always been a church going Nation. If one wants to be upstanding in the community, church is the place to go and be seen. When I was in school, the first thing our teacher did was lead her class in the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by the Lord’s Prayer. She had a plaque of the Ten Commandments hanging over her desk, which likewise, hung in the halls of our gyms and auditoriums, and the American Flag hung beside them. We always had prayer in homes, schools and public gatherings. With so many Churches and good people, what happened to Beautiful Christian America?

This little book is a mixture of Christian-based tales and poems, some enchanting, some humorous and some profoundly moving. Each is aimed at a different age group and may be used as a reading for Sunday School classes. There are lessons on how to listen to the usually silent voices of God’s creation, how to recognize the work of guardian angels, and how the Holy Spirit is at work in our world today. One story depicts a group of teenagers on a scavenger hunt who discover more than one kind of treasure. Another is a coming-of-age tale about a frightened fawn, and one more, a fairy tale, offers an alternative to the usual happily-ever-after ending. The final selection, the most compelling of all, is a story that speaks profoundly to the root origins of the tragic events that occurred at the Emmanuel AME church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015. The reader will be moved or enlightened or entertained by this charming assortment of tales and poems.

In Jewish tradition, it is said that persons have conflicting good and evil inclinations. As for the former, it results in marriage, birthing children, erecting a house, or engaging in work. As for the latter, it manifests itself in such traits as avarice, anger, and retribution.

This dual inclination is graphically portrayed by an angel on one shoulder, and a demon on the other. Humans are left to choose between the two, as to which will serve as their mentor. If the former, one is blessed. If the latter, with tragic consequences.

C. S. Lewis observes that God is more disposed to employ carrots (incentives) than clubs (demands). While this may imply a precedent, it certainly suggests that we ought not to emphasize one inclination to the exclusion of the other. For we are given to fall prey to one error in the attempt to escape its opposite.

It remains to delve into the topic at greater length, and examples proliferate. Early on, concerning the High God tradition which persists from antiquity. Later on, with regard to citizen Christians, as an expression of Christian social ethics. Still later on, with cultivating civility, as an appeal to humane behavior. And so on.

Perhaps most striking is the example set by Jesus, concerning his pristine humanity. Recalling that in creedal terms, he was both divine and human. As for confirmation, “For we do not have a high priest who is unable sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are – yet without sin” (Heb. 4:15).

From the beast and its dreaded mark, to 666, to the great whore and mother of harlots, we can unequivocally identify all of these entities. The word revelation means revealed. The Lord gave the book of Revelation to humanity for the specific purpose of revealing the events that will transpire in the last days of earth’s history. And the great thing about the Word of God is this: the Bible interprets itself; all we have to do is take the counsel of God that we find within the book of Isaiah: and study the Bible precept upon precept, line upon line, here a little, and there a little. With the help of over 300 verses of Scripture, we will unequivocally identify some globally known entities that will be in power in the last days to fulfill the agenda of the Devil himself. You will truly be amazed, and prepared to overcome these evil agendas through our spiritual weapon: The Word of God!

A Lay Examination of the Coming Judgments of the Book of Revelation

The disclosure or revelation of Jesus Christ is becoming more likely as the world slips closer to the end of all things as we have known them. As the conclusion of the church dispensation nears we are witnessing a deadly apostasy—a departure from the Christian faith predicted nearly 2,000 years ago. Natural and man-induced calamities happen on an almost daily basis. The greater the disaster the more man is determined to overcome it without God. The more he is warned of approaching judgment the less he believes it. The author contends that billions will die in the coming judgments of Revelation because man has deliberately chosen the religion of Cain over the blood of the Lamb. The Rapture, the starting pistol of the end times, will signal the beginning of the wrath of God against the earth’s inhabitants for rejection of His Son. When His fury is finally satisfied the apostle John provides a glimpse of the new heaven, earth and Jerusalem where contentment and happiness will never end.

“If you do right, won’t you be accepted? But if you do not do right, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must master it” (Genesis 4:7).

Dr. William Alexander PHD, DNC, founded ARC4Angels Ministry nearly a decade ago that has ministered to many who had lost hope & lived in despair. He is an ordained Reverend of our Lord & a published author of the following books:

Mysteries of Heaven (May 2007)
Enchanting Insights (July 2008)
The Road to Spiritual Maturity (March 2009)
The Spirit World (September 2010).

Here is what he has to say about the book, “Mastering Sin.”

This book is of great importance for those who are concerned with the future of their eternal soul, and mastering daily sins. God is Holy & sin is what separates us from God.

We all have the ability, if we are diligent in our efforts, to master the sin that comes from within as well as from outside sources. To master it we must take control and rule over it, knowing right from wrong and training our minds to react correctly and accordingly.

The Good news is that we will not have to strive forever against sin. One day we will be freed from the power of sin just as we have already been freed from its penalty.

Though neither a psychologist nor a pastor, in this book, the author writes from the viewpoint of a lay minister of inner healing. She has had extensive training and experience and approaches the subject from what she calls “a gentle charismatic” viewpoint. As the reader turns the pages through the chapters from the “whos?” to “whys?” to “how tos,” this book may also serve as a way in which God will search out the reader’s own heart. As the original editor, Tom Denbo, put it, “The Holy Spirit was continually ministering to me as I read . . . often I had to stop because I couldn’t see the screen through my tears . . . Those who have suffered greatly in the Lord have a quality of ministry that is like no other. This work has that quality. It has the fragrance of a life work poured out before the Lord.”
