Boiling Mad! Memoirs, Musings and Views of a World War II Veteran By: Sam Lembo Boiling Mad!
Memoirs, Musings and Views of a World War II Veteran

ISBN: 978-1-60862-117-0
Edition: Paperback, 259 Pages
Publication Date: December 4, 2009
Other Editions: Hardcover
This book not only encompasses events in Europe with the American GI, it takes you to my talks with Richard Nixon, Robert Kennedy, Frank Sinatra and top music people; and with the former Chancellor of Germany, the King of Hungary, and German generals who helped us win World War II. I include my meeting Otto Scorzeny, the dashing Errol Flynn-like hero who rescued Mussolini from captivity, who later received retribution from his own people. Many dangers for our country lurk in the shadows waiting to happen. This book takes you there to caution and alert you.

This book is about truth and regard for important issues that face our nation. These concerns should not be taken lightly. My wish is to get the public involved in finding a way to make a difference by making informed choices. This book is about my life and how people placed ambition and pride over all other values, it is about the hatred that cost this country many lives. There are people who stand out in my mind because they went beyond ordinary weaknesses to stand up for what they felt was right. They showed courage in the face of fear and carried on bravely for their fellow man in the name of justice and freedom.

I ask that each reader seriously consider the evidence I present and form his or her own opinion on some controversial issues. As I present my thoughts and experiences, you will come to know that I place a high value on empathy and compassion for people. My hope is that this book will help remind you of the injustices all around us. My mission is to keep the heroes of the last century fresh in our minds so that their humanitarian efforts will be passed down to our next generation.

This book was written with the belief, “We all can make a difference to better the lives of others.”

My highest hope is that President Obama will make a difference by what he does in office. I decided to write this book in order to give him my thoughts and ideas gained from my past experiences in a life of 85 years. I learned a great deal about military strategy talking with German Generals for three years. I am pictured in this book having conversations with the Chancellor of Germany and the King of Hungary. I majored in history and am an ardent political analyst. Richard Nixon sat down with me at Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, one day and opened my eyes to what politicians must do to win nominations. John Volpe took my advice on his run for Governor of Massachusetts and won in this strongly Democratic state. He was a Republican.

In the Rock and Roll era of the 60’s I was a song writer, record producer, music publisher and artist manager. I discovered Freddy Cannon and his 2 million record seller “Tallahassee Lassie.”

My book deals with public issues and war and peace for President Obama to read and think about in his decision making. In my previous book, President Bush, Sr. read my chapter on why Robert Kennedy’s name should be placed on the Department of Justice Building. After reading what I had to say he not only placed his name there, but wrote me a letter telling me my book would be placed in his presidential library at Texas A&M.

Americans should thank God for blessing us with the victory of a great person with empathy for others, already proven by his stand for stem cell research for the sick that need help. This man will succeed in everything he does. His tremendous victory against all odds has made me a believer.

November 4, 2008 - The Mood of a Nation is a wonderful compilation of writings by ordinary people with extraordinary recounts of one of the most historical times in American history, Presidential Election 2008. Like millions of people who anxiously gathered in 1963 to hear one of the most elegant and moving speeches of all times be given at the Lincoln Memorial, D.C. by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; thousands of onlookers awaited with the same anticipation on November 4, 2008 to hear “Mr. President Elect” Barack Obama give his Presidential Victory speech at Grant Park, Chicago Illinois. This book captures the mood of some of our countrymen and women of the days leading up to election day and days after. It is a mood captured by young and old, from different ethnic backgrounds, and political affiliations. Election day, November 4, 2008, is a time in history that will never be forgotten. This reflective and insightful collection of work is a piece of history that all can share and pass on to future generations.

This book will bring to light the Surveys, Reports, and Statistics to most of the growing problems we face in America today; ranging from Church, Government, Parenting, Schools, Drugs, Illegal Immigration, Gangs and so much more narrated by Author R. Sea.

I’m not writing this book to praise the successful, but rather to bring light to the growing problems that this nation is facing, the longer we let it all slide and consider them not to be serious problems then the longer and larger these problems will grow. I’m not going to sugarcoat these issues because no amount of sweetener will overcome the bitterness of the facts.

We the people have put ourselves exactly where we are at. From the lack of good moral values and common sense, we now live in a country of violence, vandalism, disrespect and drunkenness. The core of this country has become pretty disgraceful.

This book portrays a slice of Philippine contemporary political history under the leadership of President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. It is a critical view of her leadership style and role. Pres. Arroyo has until 2010 to stay in power. However, due to the never-ending corruption, which seems to be spiraling out of control, the author observes that the Filipinos could very well see her eventual downfall before 2010.

In January 2008, the Asia Pulse survey indicates that Pres. Arroyo is considered even “more corrupt” than the disgraced dictator Pres. Ferdinand E. Marcos. Several international pollsters consider the Philippines as the “most corrupt” in Asia.

The author dedicates this book to the more than 11 million overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are remitting nearly US$15 billion annually to their families they left behind. This yearly remittance sustains the Philippine economy, which is wracked by widespread corruption. These OFWs, who are working in many parts of the world are considered “modern heroes” of the Philippines.

This book describes some of our popular scientific theories and their related problems. It also explains additional aspects of current science issues so that you, the reader, can decide what to believe. Scientific theories and answers given by the news media to science related questions are usually reported as accepted facts, but what is reported is not always accurate. In addition, most news services provide only the politically correct views on most subjects (such as global warming) and ignore other information about these subjects.

The Introduction is an example of a house that is either new or is 150 years old-perhaps you can determine its age. This is followed by a description of the Big Bang theory and its problems, the ages of the Sun, Earth, and Moon, and another example of an object whose age is difficult to define. Other subjects covered are global warming, our energy problems, the ages of the dinosaurs, evolution, intelligent design, the accuracy of the Bible, and simple descriptions of some related natural laws.

This book addresses the challenges that influence the way members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria organize themselves and what guides their work. Occupational interests, societal needs, the dictates of regulatory frameworks, and the constraints of the International Federation of Accountants affect the professional choices of any accountant, but the perception of Nigeria’s accountants was that personal values had a greater influence on their attitudes toward their work than the desire for job satisfaction. The theme that emerged from the qualitative data was that family, ethnic, religious, and tribal ties were often more important to this group than professional activities.

Nigerian accountants, then, experience different problems and face different challenges from those in the developed economies of Europe, United Kingdom countries, North and South America, and Asia. This study will present observations and recommendations that will impact the social change processes of Nigeria and other developing countries as they move toward their national and economic development goals.

It seems all too many of us choose to live our lives without God. Modesty and morality are no longer important. Get as much pleasure, accumulate as many material objects, value no one other than ourselves, and live as though death has no hold on us.

What’s the big deal if we saturate our minds with porno morning, noon, and night? Whom are we hurting if we engage in illicit sex, as long as our partner is willing? If the female gets pregnant just go to the local suck clinic and have the kid aborted. It’s no big deal.

We’ve got all these freedoms, you see. The law says it’s okay. Important people are our spokespersons, telling us that it’s our right to decide certain life and death issues for ourselves. Hey, life is good. If anyone tries to give us any static about what we say or do, we’ve got some gutless politicians to straighten things out.

One day all of us will discover that man’s law is not God’s law. And then our asses have had it. We’re going to be judged on everything we ever thought, said, or did. And then it will be time to pay the price for the way we chose to live our lives. We rejected God, and now He’ll have nothing to do with us. HELL IS FOR ETERNITY!

America is under stress. We are divided by many issues. Domestically we are a mess. We are deeper in debt than ever in our history. Moral issues have taken center stage, instead of the issues that made America strong. Our leadership has taken sides with big business and the result is that average citizens, who are eighty percent of Americans, are having a tough time making ends meet even with two jobs. Will the middle class survive? Can our government solve the problems with our economy, education, social security and Medicare? Will Iraq continue to drain our much-needed resources? Has our leadership chosen paths that have isolated us from the rest of the world? Will terrorism ironically win because we lose our civil rights in the process of being secure from terrorism? Has our leadership lost its focus on what is important to our citizens and our future? We need to re-evaluate our State of the Union because it is not strong.
