ISBN: 978-1-60862-271-9 Edition: Paperback, 259 Pages Publication Date: May 16, 2011 Other Editions: Hardcover |
Henry Schmidt has done it again.... He has written for
the people who look to find their friends or themselves
in each and every story he comes up with.... One reader
said she was certain that it was her mate who he wrote
about in one of his stories. Another fan said it was his
fault that the story was so true to his misbehavior.
Still another older gentleman said he apologized to his
wife for being in the story she had read about
misinterpretations of love.... Henry has written
stories that have made men ask their wives to pull over
while driving so that they can retell the story in THEIR
words.
Where these stories come from is anyone’s guess, but you
can be sure that there is at least one that is very
similar to what you have experienced during your
youthful dream filled days and nights. Every man and at
least most women will admit that the stories ring true
in certain ways that they are reluctant to remember. If
that is the case with you... then read with a smile on
your face and answer questions at a later date.... Enjoy
what the author has provided for discussion with your
loved ones sometime in the near future... Hurry because
Henry has more stories coming soon and you my friend
might just be the focus of his next book....
Henry Schmidt has many a story yet to put to print. He
is writing for everyone to enjoy, even though some folks
have asked that their names not be used.... He is
getting more ideas from the people he crosses paths
with in his everyday life in Las Vegas, Nevada. If you
are looking to be part of some personal exposure...
then play it straight so that excuses in the future are
easier to explain....

Betrayal One Man’s Journey By: Tadeusz P. Wojcik

Quantity in Basket: none
ISBN: 978-1-60862-245-0 Edition: Paperback, 341 Pages Publication Date: January 13, 2011 |
Betrayal is a richly woven memoir of my dramatic
fight for survival during World War II, starting as an
aspiring soldier in the Army and ending his military
career as a fighter pilot in the Polish Air Force and
British RAF in England. It is a true story filled with
suspense that reads like a novel.
After my escape from a German POW camp, I joined the
Polish Underground Army. When my arrest became imminent,
I evaded the German Gestapo only to be captured by the
Russian NKVD (KGB). They charged me with
counter-revolutionary activities and sentenced me to a
Siberian labor camp, a Gulag.
This is my memorable love story with a mysterious Polish
girl. In similar adventures, we were facing the daunting
perils of that time during one of the most momentous
chapters in modern history, the treacherous Siberian
taigas, Kazakhstan steppe, and the Middle East deserts.
After the Allied victory in Europe, I discovered that I
was betrayed by the Western Allies at the Yalta
Conference. As a result, after I was stripped of my
Polish citizenship I became stateless.

| The majority of Americans know of the fifty eight
thousand who died in the Vietnam War, but very few have
heard of the hundreds of thousands who have died since
its end. They are the forgotten victims of a war fought
by politicians instead of generals with no real plan for
victory. Vietnam Veterans by the thousands have died
since the war because of their exposure to Agent Orange,
but so many more have taken their own lives to forget
the Hell on Earth which they endured. In my book, I try
to take the reader back in time so they can understand
the real story behind the Vietnam War as seen thru the
eyes of those of us who fought it. My story tells of the
struggles of day to day life as I and my brothers faced
the enemy in battle in Vietnam, and it also tells of
their bravery and sacrifice for each other. I have tried
to explain to the reader how combat affects those of us
burdened with pain, loss and guilt for those who could
not return. I hope my story becomes a lasting tribute to
those men and women lost in a war in which America
seemed to have forgotten so many years ago. I also hope
and pray that it will save the life of just one veteran
before he or she gives up their struggle to find peace. |

ISBN: 978-1-60862-141-5 Edition: Paperback, 194 Pages Publication Date: March 2, 2010 |
When I first started this book I needed a reason to
write it... What did my life have to offer? It’s not
extraordinary or exceptional... But it is filled with
insight and my personal wisdom which comes from
experience. This story will take you down many roads...
From good to bad, to very bad, to a new light, to
success, to loss, to lonely happiness.
There is a message in the end... I gathered all the
memories I could bring forward. It took months and I
kept adding to the bigger picture. Then another year
while I re-wrote it adding structure and insight. Gave
it a meaning and reason. Then designed it to induce some
of your own forgotten memories. Life’s a bitch but all
the wrongs in the end created a huge right.
This story will exploit all the things that have made me
who I am today. The things that have shaped my life and
mind, even the most shameful things. Exposing my
experiences will justify and give credit to my words in
my other books which are blunt and to the point. Why am
I such a hard ass... So opinionated... So truthful...
Well read and find out why...

This has to stop, putting people in prison for sex
crimes that never happened. It’s ruining too many lives.
Someone has to do something. My life has been destroyed
and the sad thing is I’m not the only one this has been
done to.
I know how awful it is for an innocent man to be in
prison. In my case I am the victim, yet I am a dot
on the sex offenders map. I have spent time here in
this prison, a place that tries to suck not only the
life out of you but also the soul.
Every day I fight the desire to give up and just become
a part of the prison, but I won’t let myself because
I don’t belong here. I have not committed any crime. I
believe I was put here not by mistake, but by intention.
I have yet to find the answer to why. In many sleepless
nights here in this locked cell, far from home, I have
searched for the answer.

This is a story of my life inspired by my mother, my
children and my husband. I am an immigrant from Mexico
and have made a good life here as a United States
citizen. I came to this country seeking my dreams of a
better life for myself and my family. This story will
show people many of the obstacles I have encountered in
my life from childhood to the present and demonstrates
that with good faith, hard work and great support from
loved ones you can accomplish your dreams. For that, I
am proud to call myself an American and with the help
of this nation for which I am grateful I was able to
provide a loving home for my family. Together we have
been through tough times. Dean Cain (my superman)
started having health problems in 1996. Dean had a blood
clot in his left kidney. The summer of 2000 he was
diagnosed with colon cancer. July 2002 he started
dialysis for end stage renal disease. My husband is a
Viet Nam veteran.
My son wanted to give back to his country by serving
with Marines and fighting in the war in Iraq. He was
mobilized to Iraq on September 11, 2007. With the love
and support within our family and knowing that none of
this would have been possible without the aid of this
nation for which I am grateful, I have been able to live
a happy life with my family and hope to for many years
to come.

Tired of reading another celebrity chef story? Bored

25-minute meal makers? Cynical about the rags-to-riches
kings who’s restaurant empires span the globe, never
fail, and where everything turns to gold? Here is the
first honest account of real life in the restaurant
business, with all the joys and frustrations and madcap
situations, plus more that you can never predict!
This is the heartfelt, incredible story of restauranteur
Maria Bragalini, who owned and successfully ran three
different dining establishments in New York City in the
1950’s and later, a time when dining out was an entirely
different type of experience. Amidst the backdrop of a
still-bohemian Greenwich Village, then later an
upper-crust Rockefeller Center hot spot, and finally a
quaint quiet upper east side locale, Maria takes us on a
journey of not just culinary delight, but of joys,
sorrows, loves, trials and tribulations involving her
loyal patrons who became good friends.
Hear firsthand how Maria, a former fashion designer,
went up against the authorities when they denied her
liquor license and tried to stop this young woman from
becoming a success. Listen to tales of the barons and
business powerhouses who came to enjoy pasta and veal
dishes at Maria’s tables, and stayed for more than the
food. Learn about the mystical powers of Table #8, and
revel in the beautiful descriptive interior design
techniques that Maria used to transform each space from
disastrous to exquisitely beautiful and comfortable
cucinas. The story of the Purple Martini will leave you
wondering for days about its secret ingredient. Meet
Brag, her husband and partner forever, as they turn each
place into successful culinary hot spots, through love

Living on the track for four years was a unique
experience for me. It was rewarding to be able to help
those less fortunate human beings. I was able to care
for my husband while we gained knowledge of the various
places we were assigned to work. I was protected by my
faithful guard dog Princess.
The love and attention I gave to the track gang was
returned to me one hundred fold.
When I left to move into a house it was like turning the
page to a new chapter in my life. There were no loose
ends and nothing to go back for.
We had travelled from the mountains to the seashore and
the valleys to the deserts. Most of the time we were
near one of the many packing sheds. This was my one
chance in life to see the beauty of the state of
California.

schools. Ron developed very bad behavior traits, living
mostly in Danielson, Connecticut, which was a borough of
Killingly. Danielson was a depressed town in the 1960s
and 70s when this young man was growing up. The mills
that once produced fruitfully were now closed or
closing. Unemployment was sky high, along with
alcoholism and drug abuse. As you read this book you
will be able to see what makes a delinquent with the
nickname of Ronster the Monster. |

A SHOCKING BUT TRUE STORY!
“DEMONIC STALKERS, POSSESSION,
AND ENDTIME PROPHECY.”
Author Richard Red Leaf, writes of a bizarre, demonic
inspired death plot in the early spring of 1944
resulting in the tragic accidental death of his older
brother.
June 10, 1974. The story tells of being satanically
mesmerized and a deceptive psychological brainwashing
that subsequently transpired.
October 17, 1974. Satan ultimately possessed the Red
Leaf family and revealed a counterfeit visual image of
future end-time events, culminating in the subsequent
rapture of Christian believers and souls dealing with
systemized evil after being left-behind.
- In Encounters With Evil, Richard Red Leaf writes of
a 30-year period that demonic spirits relentlessly
stalked and influenced parts of his life pattern.
- Included in Red Leaf’s true story are detailed
chilling events that finally lead to a chaotic home
invasion by evil spirits and ultimately demonic
possession.
- Is prevention of murderous evil possible? After
reading you may recognize the shrewd yet ominous signs
that are often overlooked.
- Encounters With Evil will enable you to recognize
the subtle signs of evil presence and learn methods to
neutralize demonic activity in the home.
- Prophetic end time events are described including
a glimpse of Heaven and a detailed description of Hell.
Finally, Red Leaf describes the chilling, mind numbing
moments, using a detailed calendar of events, to depict
the process and phases of possession. Included in the
book are informative early identification methods and
prevention indicators described to prevent seductive
malevolent spirit activity.

| Allow me to introduce myself to you as a teacher and
coach. For a period of my lifetime it was my privilege
to answer “School Bells”. I taught the profound elements
of US History, aroused curiosity through the secrets of
life sciences, and inspired those so-motivated with the
tenants of economics. I helped athletes learn how to
fake with head and feet to get a step on the opposition,
while remembering the joys of team play and winning and
losing with grace. Not all moments in life are memorable
to the whole. Rather, moments of life are memorable to
those participating in and directing them – such as the
students and teachers, players and coaches, and of
course the parents. The stories scattered throughout the
pages of this book are the ones that ignited me and
memorialized themselves in my mind. It is my pleasure to
share these delightful memories with all of you. |

| As a boy I was reared on an Indiana farm, had many
experiences, mostly memorable, and in mid-life fled to
other worlds. Then at 83 years, with a present sense of
gratification of wife, family, fortune, and lifestyle,
as I retire and recall, I am confronted with an illness
of reoccurring impertinence and it does not evaporate.
This is homesickness. Despite present exultations, my
days on the farm, in school, even elementary and high
school and the events and environment that prepared me
for the world call me back. Through this book I have
been able to return to those wonderful childhood days. |

How does an adolescent survive abandonment, abuse and
the juvenile system?
How does a man educate himself about life and what or
who he should be as a man?
How does a person diagnosed with the Human Immune
Deficiency Virus live for twenty-five years?
This is my life story, the struggles, mistakes and
blessings rolled up in a few pages. I have endeavored to
give some understanding and a human face to the disease
that is affecting our world at an ever-increasing rate.
This is a book about perseverance and fortitude. There
are flashes of memories from those who have passed my
way and then passed on. There are poems that I use to
interpret nuances of my feelings about the virus and
perceptions on how to further educate the community.
Most of all I have tried to impart hope for the families
touched by this pandemic.

At War: Me and My Charley-47 By: W. L. Johnson, Sr., Lt. Col. USAF (Ret)

$14.95

ISBN: 1-59824-336-5 Edition: Paperback, 221 Pages Publication Date: October 16, 2006 Other Editions: Hardcover, Adobe Ebook |
At War: Me and My Charley-47 is a new
WW II book by an Army Air Force Troop Carrier pilot
about the “flying stevedores” of the Army Air Force
whose daily work was flying urgently needed gasoline,
blood plasma, food and ammunition into cow pastures up
front behind the armored spearheads and evacuating
wounded in the face of terrible weather conditions.
“Operation Varsity”, the Airborne crossing of the Rhine
is described in graphic detail along with his squadron’s
glider casualties.
This photo-illustrated book has an exceptional group of
never before published pre-war photos of Hitler,
Goering, Hess, Himmler, etc., at the mass party rallies
in Nuremberg stadium. These photos were “liberated”
under the noses of several hundred SS troops at
considerable risk to the author.
He takes you from his Aviation Cadet training to
becoming a twin-engine flight instructor before going
overseas to England with 600 like instructors for a
special mission, called “Eclipse”. His 62nd Troop
Carrier Squadron, better known as the “Yacht Club”
Squadron, gets a new, 23 year-old commander after the
former commanding officer is shipped home to avoid being
tried for shooting the King’s pheasants.
He is awakened to a “Red Alert” to Hitler’s audacious
plan to break out the German POW’s in England as part of
the beginning of the Battle of the Bulge.
You spend Christmas Eve, 1944 with him in a French
village, infiltrated by German soldiers and disaffected
French during the Battle of the Bulge. And the trip back
to England turns from “no place to land”, to a miracle.
He gets his kicks by buzzing enemy and allied farmers
and hunters in his Charley-47, to General Eisenhower’s
frustration, but one day he gets his come-uppance.
The squadron moves to Picardie in France and they decide
to build an officer’s club out of glider crates and then
throw a huge opening party with dancing girls from
Paris. He even lands behind enemy lines in the later
stages of the war and participates in a raid on a German
village.
At war’s end, he helps liberate Norway and by
happenstance, Copenhagen. His biggest thrill is
liberated French prisoners of war going “bananas” while
buzzing down the Champs Elysée in Paris and the Eiffel
tower before landing them at Le Bourget to a super
French reception.

The Purpose of a Medicine Is . . . By: Meena Nupur

Quantity in Basket: none
ISBN: 1-59824-343-8 Edition: Paperback, 337 Pages Publication Date: September 18, 2006 Other Editions: Adobe Ebook (read on computer only) |
This is a true story of a journey and a miracle. On
December 6, 2005, in the offices of two separate medical
experts, I was informed that my days were numbered. I
was advised to take more medicines, and get admitted
into the emergency room. If not, there was little the
doctors could do. By then, I was already on numerous
medicines for countless years. I knew that my body and
stomach would not permit the intake of any more
medication. All my life, I had lived my way. So, I
signed a liability release form and decided to die my
way. I surrendered to HIM. On January 7, 2006, I was
down to just one medicine. I was on my way to full
recovery.
It is a fun, happy, and romantic story that is
culturally educational, medically astonishing,
spiritually uplifting, and studded with travel
experiences.
The journey was long and arduous, but never dull. It was
scenic, adventurous, thrilling, and fulfilling. It took
me through two masters degrees, two marriages, two
children, two 10+ year long divorces, a few
acquaintances, several friends, some companions, a
career, several hobbies, the 7 continents, 5 oceans, 4
rivers, several islands, many debilitating illnesses,
several awakenings, noteworthy self realization and a
miraculous recovery. Most importantly, it helped me find
answers to two very important questions. Is happiness a
medicine? Is there one medicine whose purpose is to
eliminate the need for all other medicines? The answers
to both of which are a resounding – Yes.
Perhaps, that is why I got nicknamed AN – Amazing Nupur.
